Properties: Colorless to nearly colorless crystalline powder. Melting point 232-233℃. Solubility at 25℃ (mg/100ml): water -22; 95% ethanol -80. Easily soluble in hot water and dilute alkali solution, insoluble in other commonly used organic solvents. Decomposes when exposed to strong alkali or oxidizing agent.
Uses: Nutritional supplement. Can be used as a processing aid in the food industry. This product has physiological functions such as preventing skin diseases and promoting lipid metabolism. Eating a large amount of raw protein can lead to biotin deficiency.
