About
Climate-damaging influence of cows: What about milk production as a climate factor? In a panel discussion with Bernhard Osterburg from the Thünen Institute and Luisa Dahmen, agricultural student and dairy farmer, Mr. Osterburg will first present facts about the impact of animal husbandry, especially milk production, on the climate. Mr. Wildermann from Klim will then present a possible solution. A supply chain approach that offers farmers financial incentives to reduce and store CO2 on their own farms by integrating the downstream value chain.
Finally, Luisa Dahmen will discuss the extent to which such a system can reduce the climate-damaging impact of milk production and what the practical implementation could look like.
