I am the Global Technical Commercial Manager: Phytogenics for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa Region at Selko Feed Additives, Nutreco Nederland B.V. I hold a BSc (Agric) Hons. degree from the University of Pretoria and an MSc (Agric) from the University of Stellenbosch. During the first 25 years of my career, I worked in the animal pharmaceutical industry at companies including Elanco Animal Health and Huvepharma.

I have extensive experience in residue control and reduction of carryover of pharmaceuticals, especially antibiotics, in food for human consumption. I have compiled numerous antibiotic resistance profiles over the years and have been tracking antimicrobial resistance for more than 9 years. In pursuit of more sustainable and holistic strategies to combat antimicrobial resistance and improve animal health and performance, I decided to shift my career towards feed additives. In September 2021, I joined Trouw Nutrition South Africa as a Product Manager for Feed Additives, and in April 2023, I relocated to the Selko Head Office in the Netherlands to take on my current role.
